The Ayrshire 100

Go Solo or Team Up - Can You Cover 100 km this May?

Ayrshire Cancer Support invites you to take part in The Ayrshire 100 - a brand‑new challenge for 2026. In its debut year, we’re encouraging the people of Ayrshire to get active, come together, and support a cause close to home. Whether you take it on yourself or team up with friends, family, or colleagues, it’s a great way to move more and make a meaningful difference in our community.

What is The Ayrshire 100?

The Ayrshire 100 is our brand‑new fundraising challenge, designed to get people across Ayrshire moving this May. You’ll cover 100 km over the full month of May, in whatever way works best for you - walking, running, cycling, swimming, or a mix of everything.

My 100

Take on the full 100 km yourself. Set your own pace, choose your own routes, and track your progress throughout May. It’s a brilliant way to boost your wellbeing while supporting people affected by cancer in Ayrshire.

Our 100

Prefer to do it together? Gather friends, family, colleagues, teammates, or your community group and collectively reach 100 km. Split the distance however you like. Every kilometre your team completes helps make a difference.

Whether you go solo or rally a group, The Ayrshire 100 is all about being active, exploring our beautiful county, and raising vital funds for local cancer support services.

How to get involved

Sign up using the registration form below. Registration for The Ayrshire 100 costs £10 for both the My 100 and Our 100 challenges. Your fee includes your entry plus a digital fundraising pack to help you share your progress and raise support. If you’d like to make an additional donation to reflect the size of your group, you’re very welcome to do so.

1. Register today on our website.
2. Set up your fundraising page on
JustGiving.
3. Track your kilometres using any platform you prefer - we recommend Strava.

These steps are the same for both the My 100 and Our 100 challenges. In the individual challenge, each participant tracks their own kilometres and has their own fundraising page. In Our 100, the group tracks their progress collectively, with all participants contributing to a single team JustGiving page.

Why do it?

Ayrshire Cancer Support relies on the generosity of our community to provide vital, life‑changing services for people affected by cancer. It costs £3,457 every day to keep these essential services running, and your fundraising truly makes a difference.

Why take on The Ayrshire 100?

  • Make a real impact - every pound raised supports people across Ayrshire facing cancer.
  • Raise awareness by sharing your journey with friends, family, and colleagues.
  • Support a growing need. Cancer touches 1 in 2 people, and demand for our services is higher than ever.
  • Enjoy Ayrshire’s stunning landscapes - from the coastal path to the heart of Kilmarnock, it’s the perfect reason to get outdoors this May.
  • Do something incredible for yourself, your community, and those who need us most.

Get Involved

Who is it for?

Whether you live in Ayrshire, have family here, or simply want to support your community from afar, this challenge is for you. We encourage all folks to get involved.

Class Fundraising

Looking for fundraising ideas for your school? The Ayrshire 100 - Our 100 edition is a simple, high‑impact way for schools to support Ayrshire charities while building community spirit.

Get the whole school involved by having each class take on their own “100” challenge and compete to cross the finish line - or register a single class to participate on its own. This is a community-wide challenge, and your school is an important pillar within it.

Scottish schools are committed to ensuring pupils receive at least two hours of physical education per week, making the Ayrshire 100 a perfect way to help pupils get active while supporting local charities.

If you’re signing up as an individual class, please use the Our100 sign‑up form below.
If your school would like to participate on a larger scale, please email us at:
fundraising@ayrshirecs.org.

Register as a company

Company culture plays a major role in employee satisfaction, and nothing brings a team together like working toward a shared goal. With 1 in 2 people affected by cancer, taking part in this challenge is a meaningful way to support the communities your colleagues care about.

Running is having a moment - and you might be surprised how much a 100km-in-a-month challenge appeals to your team. It’s achievable, energising, and a powerful way to unite your workplace behind a cause that matters.
