Support from our Local Communities We were delighted to feature in the Scottish Power Renewables Annual Community Report for 2024. The full report can be found here . Scottish Power Renewables provides community benefit funds in areas that are home to a windfarm. The funds are managed and distributed by the local community, who select projects that will benefit and support local initiatives and projects. Carrick Futures is responsible for managing the community benefits derived from the Arecleoch Windfarm here in Southwest Scotland. In 2024, they donated £25,000 towards our fundraising efforts to deliver our new cancer support centre in Ayr. The support of organisation like Carrick Futures has been vital in helping us to meet our ambitious fundraising target for the project. If you, or your organisation would like to find out more about our new support centre, we still have a number of sponsorship opportunities available. Contact fundraising@ayrshirecs.org to find out more.
