Home4Cancer Ground-break

We are thrilled that the extension and renovation works at our centre on Prestwick Road in Ayr began in March this year.

The ground-break was attended by several dignitaries, including Neil Gray MSP, Cabinet Secretary for NHS Recovery, Health & Social Care.

Thank you so much to everyone that’s contributed. There are still sponsorship opportunities available to become involved in this wonderful community project. Please visit our Home4Cancer website for more information.

Ayr Centre

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our new cancer support centre in Ayr is now open!

Our Make it Happen campaign began back in 2020, when it became evident there was a need for a dedicated cancer support centre in Ayr, offering the same facilities as the charity’s Kilmarnock Centre, and more.

Without any free specialist services for children and young people affected by cancer in the area, we knew we needed to fill this gap.

We sold our existing centre on Wellington Square, Ayr, and fundraising began to purchase our new building and carry out the necessary renovation work to transform this into a dedicated, complete support facility for children, young people, and adults affected by cancer.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported and contributed to this project over the years - without whom the Ayr Centre would not have been possible.

Take a Virtual Tour

Services which were temporarily moved during the refurbishment works to Kyle Chemotherapy Unit, Ailsa Campus have now returned to 7 Prestwick Road, along with a wide variety of groups, courses, and workshops.

Similar to our Kilmarnock Centre, the Ayr Centre includes rooms dedicated to counselling, complementary therapies, and support groups.

Everyone who has donated, become a Founding Sponsor, held a fundraising event, partnered with us, signed up to become a regular giver, or who has given a grant towards our project has played a very important part in making this centre a reality.

However, in addition it has bespoke spaces for children and young people, including a children’s sensory garden and equipment.

The building has a warm and welcoming drop-in centre which can be accessed Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.

We will be hosting an Open Day in the very near future, where you can drop-in and view our new centre and learn more about the services on offer. Keep an eye on our social media channels for more information.
