CHARITY CLAY SHOOT EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
In the interest of your safety and wellbeing, anyone taking part or spectating, must adhere and agree to the following Terms and Conditions:
- Fibre wads only
- Do
NOT mix 12g and 20g cartridges
- Head protection (which includes any type of hat) to be worn at all times
- Eye protection, which includes safety glasses as well as prescription lenses, to be worn at all times
- Hearing protection to be worn at all times
- Guns must not be closed, sighted or dry mounted anywhere other than the designated shooting stands
- Guns must be kept in gun slips between stands
- You and you alone are responsible for your shotgun and ammunition.
General:
- Risks: Clients understand the risks involved especially with falling / broken clays
- Vehicles: Clients parking vehicles during the day do so entirely at their own risk. Case Sport will take every measure possible to make sure vehicles are parked safely out of the normal fall out zone of the clay pigeon targets
- Dogs: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times
- Alcohol / Drugs: Alcohol is forbidden during the shooting. Anyone thought to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be prevented from taking part
- Behaviour: We reserve the right to ask persons who do not behave in a safe and responsible manner to leave the shooting ground / estate.
Non-License / SGC Holders: Anyone who wishes to shoot that does not hold a valid shotgun certificate signs this declaration confirming that they are not prohibited from handling a firearm under Section 21 of the Firearms Act 1968.
Section 21 of the Firearms Act of 1968 states:
Any person who has served a prison sentence or youth custody for a period of more than three months, but less than three years is subject to a five-year prohibition from having a firearm or ammunition in his possession. A person who has served a prison sentence or youth custody for a period more than three years is prohibited for life.
Shooters: SGC (Shot Gun Certificate) & Third-Party Liability Insurance: I hereby confirm that I have a Shot Gun Certificate and hold current Third-Party liability Insurance through BASC or similar shooting organisations.
EMERGENCY: On the sounding of a safety whistle all shooters will cease shooting immediately and unload their guns, making them safe. Shooting will not commence until the Safety Officer gives the all clear.
