Ayrshire Boxing Day Dip 2023 is back!
How many times have you said you want to try something new? It’s time to get your feet wet and join us all on Monday 26th December at 11am for a refreshing dip in the Ayrshire Sea.
Sign up for Ayrshire’s Boxing Day Dip, take the plunge and raise money for Ayrshire’s leading cancer charity. Every year, individuals endure the cold sea to take a dip on Boxing Day. Why not take the dive?
When you fundraise for us, you will receive:
There’s no minimum fundraising target, but if you raise £400 or more you will receive an official Ayrshire Cancer Support Oodie. The more you raise, the more you will be helping people affected by cancer in Ayrshire.
As soon as you have raised £400 just pop us an email and we will get a OODIE sent out to you!’

Our big boxing day dip will be based at Ayr beach. You will be able to park at Blackburn Car Park where we will be based. We will be set up in our branded marquee for registration and will be supporting you on the day.
There is no age limit for Ayrshire’s Boxing Day Dip, however attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
We take safety very seriously, with on-site medical professionals. There are also a number of coastguards on the day, to help anyone who gets into difficulty. Participation in our Boxing Day Dip carries with it certain inherent risks and dangers that cannot be completely eliminated. When signing up you will assume full and complete risk and responsibility for any injury or accident that may occur during the event.
When signing up you are agreeing that you are medically able to participate in our Boxing Day dip and are physically fit to look after yourself. Any medical condition you may have must been declared to us and you confirm you have no medical condition that would make your participation more hazardous.
By signing up you consent to medical care and transportation to obtain treatment in the event of injury and understand that this Agreement extends to any liability arising out of, or in any way connected with, the medical treatment and transportation provided in the event of an emergency.
You will want to bring a nice big towel and a bag of dry clothes that someone can give to you shortly after getting out of the water. You will also absolutely want to wear some form of footwear, like sandals or old trainers – the ground in December is very, very cold!
Finally, plan to have fun! The water is cold, but just dive in without hesitating, splash around a bit and then find that big fluffy towel. You will survive!
Remember, you can do this!
