About Ayrshire Cancer Support

Ayrshire Cancer Support has operated in Ayrshire since 1982 providing emotional support and practical help to those affected by cancer.

Therapeutic Services

We offer a range of free therapeutic services in our centres, at home and in hospital.

These services may help to relieve the symptoms of cancer and its treatment.

Hospital Transport Service

Our Hospital Transport Service is staffed by volunteer drivers who collect patients from their homes, accompanied to hospital for their treatment and taken home again after treatment.

This service is especially useful for patients who feel unwell, those living in rural areas, the elderly and parents taking their children for treatment.

Support Centres

Our Support Centres in Ayr and Kilmarnock were opened in response to an identified need for counselling and support services.

The centres still operate today where we offer a wide range of services, including counselling, support groups and complementary therapies, in a caring and supportive environment.
