Edinburgh Marathon/Hairy Haggis Relay

The Edinburgh Marathon is the second largest full marathon in the UK. It was rated the fastest marathon in the UK by Runners World magazine; with an overall elevation drop of 40m it makes it a good course for those looking for a good time or a personal best.
The Hairy Haggis Team Relay is a separate event from the marathon but runs concurrently with the main race. The team relay is split into four legs of differing distances and is run on the same course as the marathon. The longest leg is about 8 miles and the shortest leg is around 5 miles. Relay runners must be at least 17 years old for the two longer legs and 15 years old for the two shorter legs. The relay is a great way for runners to raise funds for charity too because they can share the fundraising between the team.
