Barcelona Marathon

Ex Marr College Students Head for Barcelona

A group of ex Marr college pupils are swapping the freezing weather of Scotland for the sunny climes of Spain next weekend . But there won’t be a lot of sunbathing going on because the boys are running the Barcelona Marathon on 7th March, 2010, in aid of Ayrshire Cancer Support. Andy who hails from Dundonald said, “We’re not fitness fanatics at all but enjoy sport and thought now, in our mid twenties, was as good a time as any for a once in a lifetime achievement. So we started training and seem to be on track. We chose Ayrshire Cancer Support because Cameron had some direct experience of their work through his family.
Ann Porter of Ayrshire Cancer Support said ‘ We are extremely grateful to the boys for thinking of us and everyone at the charity wishes them well on their adventure’
