Gurkha Inn - Kilmarnock
	The owners of the new Gurkha Inn Restaurant in Tichfield Street, Kilmarnock have pledged to support Ayrshire Cancer Support by donating fifty percent of their takings drawn on the first Tuesday of every month to the charity. The family can relate to the need for support of those affected by cancer having lost their grandfather to the illness and are very happy to support us in this innovative and generous manner. The restaurant specialises in Nepalese and Indian cuisine and can accommodate up to fifty eight seated in their well appointed premises. Some English dishes are also on the menu. A home delivery service is available. Weddings and parties can also be catered for. The restaurant opens at 11.00am till 2.30pm for lunches and from 5.00pm until 11.00pm in the evening. Great Scottish Walks 2008
	Ayrshire Cancer Support has for many years enjoyed great support from those who enjoy a good walk and raising money for their favourite charity by taking part in the Great Scottish Walks. In the past travelling to Edinburgh on the free bus has been a great start to the day and the atmosphere generated by the ten thousand plus entrants walking for many charities is electric. Entertainment provided in Meadowbank Stadium before and after the walk and along the routes has been enjoyed by all. This year the organisers are extending the event to include a walks in Glasgow, starting at Bellahouston Park although the exact route is not yet known. The dates are: Glasgow, 25th May at 11.00am and Edinburgh, 22nd June at 11.00am. Free t shirts and transport will be provided and all we ask is that you raise a minimum sponsorship of £50.
